It’s that time again! For the fifth year in a row, XRadio is partnering together with Rock Your Rack, a two-week event Second Life Charity Event raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
For over ten years, Models Giving Back has led the charge in the metaverse with fundraising for real world charities. Rock Your Rack is the annual fundraiser started in October of 2012 by Jamee Sandalwood and the team at Models Giving Back. Jamee’s vision leads the event to success year after year with many of the designers coming back due to the smooth, efficient way things are run and reported. With 100% transparency, including all of the documentation of screenshot totals, to Lindex transactions, to donation receipts account for every penny that was earned and donated all being posted right here for all to see.
Rock Your Rack’s fundraising efforts are endorsed as an official fundraiser with the National Breast Cancer Foundation every year. As such, Rock Your Rack is accountable to them since the fundraising group is using their name and logo on all of their items. For further transparency, Rock Your Rack even has its own fundraising website with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, where all donations for the entire year are placed.
All of this transparency is one of the major reasons that XRadio has supported this annual fundraiser since its inception. Months after XRadio hit the internet airwaves, we joined Models Giving Back as a Rock Your Rack partner to help in their mission to fight breast cancer.
The Cause
Breast cancer is one of the leading health crises for women. One out of every eight women and an ever-increasing percentage of men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. There is currently no known cure for breast cancer, and its early diagnosis is critical to survival.
