XRadio finished 2022 strong, with an increase in unique listeners for the Fourth Quarter, but a drop in total listener reach. In contrast, our total listener reach for 2022 has surpassed a half million listeners for the first time ever.

XRadio had 37,682 different listeners from 160 different countries for a total listener reach of 118,254 listeners in the 4th Quarter, 2022!

LISTENER DEVICES
As usual, listeners from virtual worlds like Second Life continue to be the primary listening audience for XRadio, but continued growth outside of the metaverse is also ongoing. 62% of XRadio listeners came from within virtual world grids in the fourth quarter of 2022. Since we are heard on multiple commercial and private areas across multiple grids like Second Life, OSgrid, Kitely and more; this is to be expected. Fmod is the system that most virtual world viewers incorporate for streaming audio.
Outside of the metaverse, the embedded stream player on the website and our placement in multiple online radio directories has helped to reach even more listeners. About 17% of the listeners in the fourth quarter have listened through the web player. This is a 3% jump from the previous quarter’s 5% increase.
LISTENER PEAKS
Peak concurrent listeners for the three-month period happened on Sunday, October 9, 2022. Between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM Singapore time that day, 500 people were tuned into the XRadio stream at the same time across the world!
