Happy Halloween!

It’s that time once again for the most sacred of holidays here at XRadio… Halloween! As usual, we are celebrating the spooky season with a bunch of Halloween-themed specials and parties, as well as regular, annual tradition.

Each year, we celebrate the season with the amazing 1938 radio broadcast presentation of the 1898 H.G. Wells’s novel The War of the Worlds. This Halloween episode of the radio series The Mercury Theatre on the Air was directed and narrated by Orson Welles. The episode is famous for inciting a panic by convincing some members of the listening audience that a Martian invasion was actually taking place. It’s a great program and an annual Halloween tradition here at XRadio.

XRadio will broadcast this yearly special on Halloween at 9:00 am and 8:00 pm Pacific. The 8:00 pm broadcast will then be followed with the Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of the Worlds.

In addition, there are over twenty-four hours of spooky, Halloween music and entertainment by your favorite XRadio DJs on the schedule. It all starts off this Friday, October 25^th with DJ Dresi! Make sure you check the schedule to see when your favorite XRadio DJ will be on the air!

In addition to awesome themed sets, XRadio is teaming up with two of its affiliates for some Halloween parties!

On Saturday, October 26th, XRadio affiliate Solar Eclipse will be hosting a Halloween Madness party with eight hours of XRadio DJs spinning the horror-tunes. XRadio will simulcast the entire party from the event. It starts off ith DJ Rebelicious at 2:00 PM Pacific. The entire line-up for Halloween madness is as follows:

And then on Halloween, XRadio will be simulcast from our affiliate, London Town for a Halloween party! DJ Siouxie starts the event off at 10:00 am Pacific with DJ Jude Connors follows at Noon Pacific. This party is on an official Second Life Gateway Community, so there will be no tipping the DJs! Just fun times in costume!
