Executive Summary: XRadio generated over 20,945 hours of continuous audio broadcasting across 19,471 streaming sessions in Q2 2026. Driven by a blend of in-world Metaverse events, web player streams, and global radio directory syndication, XRadio’s high-quality stream continues to reach listeners across virtual worlds, gaming servers, mobile apps, and dedicated audio relays.
🎧 Q2 At a Glance: Core Performance
During the second quarter of 2026 (April 1 – June 30), XRadio connected over 18,000 unique listener IP addresses worldwide. Across all streaming sessions, listeners spent a cumulative 20,945.12 hours tuned in.
While the United States generated the highest total connection volume (4,074 sessions), Germany claimed the top spot for total listening duration, racking up 4,697.53 hours—largely driven by long-duration background listening nodes and local stream relays.
🌐 1. The Metaverse Advantage: Second Life & Virtual Worlds
A major pillar of XRadio’s audience connects directly from virtual land parcels, venue clubs, and live in-world DJ events. Powered by the FMOD Studio audio engine embedded in virtual world clients like Second Life:
- Massive Volume: Metaverse connections accounted for 31.07% of all sessions (6,050 connections) and 31.76% of total listening time (over 6,651.86 hours).
- Deep Engagement: Avatar listeners spent significantly more time tuned in per session, boasting a average duration of about 66 minutes compared to standard web browsers (58 minutes).
- Geographic Hub: The United States dominated the Metaverse audience, representing 44.61% of all Second Life and metaverse connections and generating 2,607 listening hours in-world.
📱 2. Direct Web Traffic & Global Aggregators
XRadio’s public web player page (https://azura.xradio.zone/public/xradio) served as the central digital doorway for standard browsers, mobile devices, and third-party radio indexers.
Direct Web & Mobile Listeners
Direct web browser listening accounted for 31% of connections (6,017 sessions) and over 5,800 listening hours. Mobile access - led by Android browsers and embedded web views - comprised nearly 30% of all total connection attempts.
Radio Directories
Interactive radio directories proved to be a primary discovery engine. RadioGarden alone generated nearly 3,000 sessions (20% of all connection attempts). These discovery sessions averaged come as users surfed live stations across the globe.
In-Game Radio Integration
Multiplayer gaming communities actively integrated XRadio into custom gameplay mechanics. Multiplayer Grand Theft Auto servers (Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas / MTA:SA) streamed XRadio directly into custom in-game car radios and venue sound systems across 685 sessions (110.67 total hours).
⚙️ 3. Continuous Audio Pipelines & Automation
Behind the real-time human audience sits a powerful network of automated recording pipelines, proxy tunnels, and stream relays:
- FFmpeg & Other Streaming Scripts: Custom scripts using tools like ffmpeg accounted for just 2% of sessions but drove an astonishing 22% of total listening hours (4,730.34 hours). These automated nodes ran continuous background streams averaging over 10 hours per connection.
- Web Proxies & Privacy Headers: A smaller portion of traffic was routed through privacy-preserving browsers (352 sessions) and web proxy services (83 sessions) facilitating access across restricted firewalls.
